Software Sales - Business Development Associate

We are looking to add multiple, talented Business Development Associates to our Software Sales team.  The ideal candidate should be energetic, motivated, detail-oriented and have a desire to build a sales career in the software industry. Working in conjunction with the Sales Leadership, your primary role will be to develop and qualify leads utilizing a variety of methods and resources.

Job Description:
Using your exceptional organizational skills, you will work collaboratively to manage the prospective customer pipeline, and work towards targets on a monthly basis. Your innate people skills will allow you to successfully act as an account manager for new prospect relationships as well as ongoing business development.

You will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, where tasks and priorities change regularly, and as an adaptable, self-motivated team player, you will naturally invest high levels of energy at work to achieve individual and team goals. With previous experience working in a corporate environment, you will be proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite, and your strong written and verbal communication skills will be underpinned by your high attention to detail.

Key requirements for role 

  • Work in partnership with the Sales Leadership to grow client pipeline
  • Adoption of disciplined sales management practices, including full utilization of CRM tools for effective tracking of client activity and pipeline
  • Ability to plan and focus activity on the areas that will make the biggest impact
  • Entrepreneurial, able to come up with innovative ways of accessing clients
  • Strong one-to-one / small group relationship management and selling skills
  • Clear communicator at all levels with the ability to articulate complex messages in a language the client can understand
  • Good Asset Management product and capital market knowledge
  • Confident, self-reliant and good team player
  • Strong telephone skills & confident with making a high volume of quality calls
  • Ability to leverage resources internally
  • Driven to achieve results

Primary responsibilities  
In the role your daily work includes:

Sales-oriented activities

  • Sales lead handling and qualification
  • Providing demos of product for prospects

General assistance activities

  • Monthly reporting
  • General office duties as part of a team
  • Liaison with colleagues
  • Sales meeting support
